My Story

My name is Larisa Mabey, but the people I know and love call me Lara. I am The Quirky Baker, a baker who loves to experiment with food and make sweets that blow your mind! I’ve been baking since I was 10 years old and not long ago I decided to use this talent of mine to create gluten-free baked goodies that are tasty, simple to make and amazing to eat.
 
I am a self-taught gluten-free baker with personal experience of Celiac disease and gluten intolerance. I'm not an expert but I can provide you with well-known facts and simple stories from my experiences. I will bake for you on camera and entertain you, I will write recipes and teach you to cook them and I will show you that living with Celiac is not that bad and you can manage it with a little bit of effort!

Sometimes I pretend to be normal. But it gets boring. So, I go back to being me.
